Opening Ceremony: Permanent Mission of Barbados to the United Nations

JGArchitects’ design for the Permanent Mission of Barbados to the United Nations in the Diplomat Building, located near the United Nations in Manhattan was feted at a Grand Opening Ceremony and Reception for the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Barbados UN General Assembly Session The evening was hosted by H.E. Dr. Christopher Hackett, Permanent Representative and Ambassador from Barbados to the United Nations and attended by Barbados’ elected officials, friends and supporters in the international community.

D.P.R Gayle Francis-Vaughan lauded JGArchitects team Joseph Goldstein, Peter Lung, Kenichi Nakamura, Yumi Kagamihara, Magali Regis, and lighting designer Steve Szynal for “their insight and creativity in designing a state-of-the art facility, which is forwarding-looking in its portrayal of Barbados’ Identity in the international community of the United Nations, as well as New York City.”
