JGArchitects’ design for marketing company Epsilon, the world’s largest e-mail marketing company, was celebrated at the “Silicon Alley” office’s Opening Ceremony attended by Epsilon executives from across the U.S., Epsilon Interactive CEO Ragy Thomas toasted JGArchitects team: Joseph Goldstein, Kenichi Nakamura, Peter Lung and lighting designer Steve Szynal:
“Our NYC office was a dot-com company occupying an office built out over a few weekends. When Epsilon bought this company, we assigned JGArchitects’ the task to create a new office as an appropriate environment for meeting with CEO’s of major corporations, communicating the brand and aesthetic of our mother company: and at the same time, not losing the spirit of the original venture.
Using angled translucent glass and aluminum framed walls juxtaposed against the traditional details of the existing loft space, together with angled linear patterns of light fixtures, signage graphics, monitors, JGArchitects‘ design deftly straddled a fine line between “corporate” and “agency”, –and in the process, used the space of our office to communicate our new brand both to staff and visitors.“
