Opening Ceremony: Cuban Arts Space

JGArchitects’ design for the Cuban Art Space in Manhattan’s Chelsea Arts District was celebrated at a Grand Opening and Inaugural Exhibition entitled “Marando Adentro/ Looking Within,” a one-woman show by Cuban artist Mabel Poblet Pujol.

During the Opening Ceremony, Cuban Art Space Director Sandra Levinson praised JGArchitects team: Joseph Goldstein, Kenichi Nakamura, Andres Hernandez and lighting designer, Steve Szynal for “their vision of a multi-use space for gallery exhibition, lectures, film screenings and social events, creating a multi-media arts space within one room, while at the same time capturing the spirit of this organization’s Cuba – New York City axis.”
